What scale do you use?

I am looking for a new scale. I currently have a 10 year old, $7 scale. I know that I can only count on it really to show a change of about 3 lbs or more before the needle moves. I don't want anything expensive. I don't need it to do my laundry or tell me my body fat. I am not opposed to it doing those things, but don't want to pay a lot of money for it. Any suggestions on name brands or models that you are using or have used? Any warnings on bad ones?

I have a WW digital scale I got from Bed Bath & Beyond. With the coupon I think it was less than $30. It saves up to 5 weights so you can track progress. It's been pretty good for me. Have to stand in the same spot or you get different results... but can't expect much from a cheapo digital.0

I have been using the EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale for almost the past 2 years. It is currently $28.95 on Amazon w/free shipping. It is rated very highly and although it does not do all the fancy stuff, it is extremely reliable. I can get on the scale, wearing the same clothing, multiple times in a morning and it reads the same weight. It is great quality. A bit heavy because of the thick tempered glass, but overall I love it! I got tired of the cheap digital scales too and after some research this is the one I settled on.

When everyone is saying "great" and "they work wonderful", how are you confirming it is an accurate reading?
I have a cheap digital scale from 3-4 years ago.. hmm more than that, lol.. and one day it is 1 lb over and the next it is 4 lbs over... So, this might help some .. I have a 20 lbs dumbell next to it.. so I put the dumbell on it 2-3 times b4 I weight myself and if it reads 20.5 or 21 lbs vs the 20 lbs, I make the corresponding adjustment to my reading. I tried my friend's more expensive scale (reads a bunch of other things) and when i put my dumbell on it , it was .5 lbs off.. so even the better ones aren't "perfect"
I'd love to get a home sized version of the ones that are at the doctor's office or gym, you know with the sliding small weights on top... Anyone use something like this at home?0 -
This link has some "top" bathroom scales, some are expensive but some are reasonable

My bathroom scale and food scale are both made by Taylor. I checked my bathroom scale with a kettlebell and it's been dead on every time I've checked it over the past two years (I check every time I put a new battery in). I've been happy with Taylor scales and they're not expensive.0
