I started my weight loss journey in April. I managed to lose 30 pounds but l lost motivation in June. The good news is I haven't went completely off the rails. My weights been consistently the same give or take 3 pounds. Honestly I'm just struggling to get motivated to get back on track.

Congratulations on the 30 pounds! How much more do you have to lose?
For me the key is to not looking for motivation, but to be in it consistently and be determined, whether I like it or not, by tracking my calories daily as detailed as I can with food scales and measurement cups, and staying under my daily cal limit. I really love food. Sometimes I eat junk food: KFCs, Burger King, Domino's, McD, but I am able keep it under control by tracking what I eat.
Also, change your personal goal in your mind from 'weight loss' to 'body and lifestyle transformation' as a start. It is necessary for our mind to understand that this transformation is a very long journey. Aim for 0.5-1 lbs loss per week. Save the higher goal for later, when your body has adapted to your new healthy lifestyle. It took me 2 years to lose 66 lbs, but the journey wasn't stressful and I was really happy with the result.
However, in regard to motivation, I find motivation in my old and smaller shirts and pants.
You can do this!!!4 -
Motivation is a fickle creature.
And completely undependable.
Some days calorie counting and logging your food is no big deal.
Some days exercise looks like fun.
But the truth is, it’s not always like that. And you need to power through anyhow.
Consistency and habits are far more reliable than motivation.
To quote a famous shoe company?
Just do it!

+1 to everything that's been said so far. I saw on someone else's thread about looking for motivation - do you need "motivation" to brush your teeth before bed? Don't depend on "motivation" to keep you going; keep doing things until they are habits.
If whatever you're doing for weight loss requires "motivation" for you to do it, you've made it too hard for yourself. You probably tried to change too many things at once - restricted your calories too extremely, tried to do too much too fast in terms of exercise, threw out all the foods you like in favor of whatever's the "healthy food" du jour. You don't have to blow up every routine and script you have for existing as a human being and rebuild your entire life from scratch all at once. It is OK to do it ship-of-Theseus style, take baby steps - make one small, easy change until it's second nature, then make another until it's second nature, and on and on until you have transformed yourself into the person you're trying to be. Less cream in your coffee, sugar-free/low-fat substitutes for things, controlled portions of your faves that can't be swapped out because ya gotta live.2 -
I have noticed that in the last month food hasn't really been the problem. I just had a bad month as far as groceries went. I think I'm going to just focus on buying healthier foods and working out when I can.1

I have about 60 more pounds to go. I just refuse to gain back all I lost. Especially when Overeating hadn't been my biggest issue lately. Thank you by the way!0
