since i have started calorie counting, i have been looking at the the least calorie option in terms of yogurts.I am amazed how many cals are in some of the ones i use to eat on a regular basis. recently i have tried the weight watchers summer fruits and citrus flavoured ones which are about 50 - 60 cals per pot. Would appreciate some advice on other low cal (and tasty) yogurts out there. i am in the uk btw :-)

  • you should try the weightwatchers desert ones, there about the same cal count, also M&S count us ones are superb IMO 75 Cals a pot but there bigger, the only thing with low fat/cal yoghurt is the sugar content is still quite high, i normally add some sliced strawbs and crushed almonds to them, pretty tasty

I love the weight watchers deserts ones mmmm icelands do some low fat fruit ones that are low cal's as well
  • Hi Ackeebee

I tend to go for fat free natural yoghurt as it's low carb too (if your counting carbs) and Morrissons do a great one. Also Fage is a good make and very low cals. To sweeten them I use a bit of granualted sweetener and some cinnamon powder, delish!

    Hope this helps.

The Shape Delights ones are nice, zero fat about 80 cals and lots of different flavours. Sainsburys have them on offer just now too. The muller light are nice too. Love the cheesecake ones only 100 cals a pot. x

Hi Charrah, nice to meet you :-)

Is the fage ones the "total" greek yogurt ones? if so, i use to buy the ones with honey but they do have alot of cals. maybe you are referring to the plain yogurt.

If you want flavoured, I second the M&S ones already mentioned, they have a lovely smooth creamy texture and are delicious. These days I go for the Fage Total 0% though, then add peanut butter/fruit/protein powder to it, it's amazing.

Buy Total 0% Greek yoghurt and stir in your own fruit - I like figs, honey and crushed walnuts in mine!

I like the danone activia fat free ones. I cant eat most of the low fat / calories yoghurts because they are not suitable for vegetarians but these ones are and they are really tasty.

i will look out for those shape delight ones :-). many thanks.

i tried muller light ones in the past and i wasnt that keen. however, this was a long time ago before i started calorie counting so they might taste better now lol
  • Astro Zero. no fat, and usually 35 cals per 1/3 cup/pot. sooo yummy. with a full cup only being 105 cals, i don't feel guilty about trippling the serving size :)

    Hi

I bought this week - Irisdh diet yogurt (thats its name) from morrisons and they have between 50-60 cal (from memory) and were only £1 for 4.

I also love M & S count on us yogurts (65cal) and the chocolate mousses (90cal).

I like Tesco own as well - with banana, orange, .... flavour. They are quite cheap too.

Im not keen on Fage total yogurt - too thick for me.x

I think it's called 'Light and Fit' or something and it's a US product, so obviously not available here :)

yes, those fage total ones are really thick but i must admit, i do like them thick. muller amore was another one i liked because of its texture but its way too many cals

i tried one of the M&S count on us yogurt today (strawberry) and it was delicious!
  • FiberOne has yogurt that is 50 cals (haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure it's pretty good). Also, Greek Gods Fat Free Plain Greek Yogurt is 60 cals (I usually sweeten it with some Stevia and it tastes like a regular sweet yogurt).

I eat Dannon Light & Fit it's delicious and only 80 calories. I don't know if they have that in the UK or not. I'm assuming they would. Toasted Coconut Vanilla is my favorite flavor so far.
