Gaining weight with liquid calories....?

Hi all,
My name is Brendan and I've recently started the journey of gaining weight and muscle. I'm using this app to track and log my calories and make sure I'm hitting certain goals.
With that being said, I noticed that 2 cups of milk is 300 calories. Not a small amount. Is this something I should be including in my numbers? Are liquid calories a "cheating" type of thing?
It makes it a lot easier for me to hit my goal when I can drink some milk to get a quick boost but I want to make sure I'm not cheating or doing something that isn't actually helping me reach my goal.

Drinking your calories is definitely the move especially for people that have trouble gaining weight and eating a lot of food. I drink a lot of my calories and its just as good as eating those calories. I started off by making a shake that was 700 calories and now i drink a shake that is about 1250-1500 calories and it has helped me a lot when it comes to gaining weight.0

Calories are calories, whether they come in liquid form or otherwise.3 -
Calories are simply a uniform unit of energy, being uniform means a calorie from liquid and a calorie from solid food are just the same.
Foods and drinks have different nutrient profiles but calories are just a way to measure the energy in those foods and drinks.
Drinking milk is a very popular, convenient and inexpensive way to easily get some decent nutrition in. If it helps you hit both your calorie and nutrition goals then go for it.3 -
