I am new to MFP and would love to have some friends to encourage me as I work to lose 65 pounds. I really want to get down to the weight I was when I turned 50, five years ago. I had both my knees replaced last year and while dealing with the pain in my knees both before and after surgery, coupled with limited activity, I put on weight. I am motivated but know that alone, that can only take me so far.

Welcome. This is a wonderful site and if you use it consistently it will help you keep on track. I have 75 more to go but unlike other times I have tried, this time I have no doubts that it will work. It really is simple (not easy, but simple) when you cut out the crap and just focus on eating healthy and staying within your numbers. Sending you a friend request. Filling out your profile info will help you on your way to more friends as they will be able to see if you have interests in common. Best of luck.0
