I have saved this form to my hard drive and am trying to "complete it" - just fill in the blanks... Why can't I? Am I just... dumb?? I really do not know how to use the latest version of Acrobat.

It probably has a security lock.

I think it's because Acrobat is a PDF reader, not a PDF writer. Which I do believe means that unless the form was set up with 'form fields' to fill out, you can't fill it in unless you have the Adobe PDF Publisher software.

That's what I'm guessing also. I tried it also and couldn't get anything. Sorry.

Looks like a pdf that was created from a scanned document. There are not editable fields in the document.

If you have the free version of acrobat, ie, you haven't purchased the license for it. Then you will not have editing rights. The reader is only designed for you to read and print the form off.

If you have adobe professional you can edit it, but yeah if it's scanned then you're kinda screwed! sorry!

I get that, but there are plenty of forms you can simply "fill in the blank" capable... I just need to find one :) hehe!

This one isn't set up as a form fill. You can make a whole bunch of text boxes, if that's worth the time to you.

Ok. I have professional so I saved it on my computer and can't edit so that means, like someone else said, it was scanned. Also, I checked the restrictions and it has none.

Thanks! This is available for sale on so many websites, but I'm leary because they don't specify if it's the most current (July 2011) version or not... I don't want to buy the wrong one.

    Hrmph.

I have the full version of Adobe for PDF writing and editing and it does not bring up any editable fields for me either. I think they just saved their doc as a pdf but didnt make it an actual "form" that you can complete electronically
