Hi, Yesterday was my 1st day using macro counting to lose weight. Is there a way to come up with meals without spending hrs. planning and counting? When I was done last night I looked at my protein and was way over. I know it takes some time but if you have suggestions, I'm open

its all about calories for weight loss. For the overwhelming majority of people, the macro percentages assigned by MFP for your calorie goal based on your deficit is perfectly fine.
Not to mention, the database is filled with inaccurate entries (or partially accurate), so learning how to find accurate entries needs to be first and foremost for any logging.

I don't think you have to be so particular about macros. I prioritize sticking to my calorie target, and after I track my lunch I'll check my macros and see where I'm over or deficient, and choose a dinner that will help balance me out. If after lunch I see that I'm high on carbs and low on protein, I'll make a high protein, low carb dinner.1
