Hi I am so frustrated. I am 5'6" and weigh 142 ish. I have been working out and eating right for about a month and a half consistently and all i have lost is about 3 pounds. I have lost an inch off my waist. Everyday when i finish my calculations it says in 5 weeks i will weigh 135 however i am about 7pounds off. Does anyone else see the inaccuracy like this??
Now with two weeks til my vacation i am having to eat only 1000 calories and workout for an hour a day to see any results. This is so frustrating. Please advise!!

1000 calories a day and working out? You need more fuel... I know it sounds counter intuitive but 1000 calories is not going to do you any good. Try aiming for 1200 net a day (meaning if you burn 600 calories you are going to eat 1800 that day.)

I have the same problem, being i only ate that much, but after doing research and such, i learned that i need to/ you need to eat at least a bit mode, since your body will go into a starvation mode, so try and eat more, at least have 1200 calories a day is what i heard is good for me minimum ( total i should have 1620)0 -
Everyday! I only pay attention to that part as sort of a goa. Like...oooo....if I just keep going I'll someday be able to see numbers like that; but don't EVER believe it will be in 5 weeks!
It's a slow process. Have patience; keep up the work, and in time you will see those numbers come around. Generally it's good to lose a lb. a week. Sometimes you won't, sometimes you will. Fluctuations will come with changes in the month, different times of the week...etc.
My biggest advice to you is to STICK WITH IT, and have patience, and you WILL see results!0 -
sounds like you could be at a plateau. You should try switching up your exercise, thats what I had to do. I use an elliptical most of the time and I switch up the difficulty level and incline so my body doesn't get used to the same routine0

I have the same problem with that guide but I think that is just an encouragement tool not a reality.Just keep within your daily allowance and it will gradually reduce.I have been losing one pound most weeks but it is important not to go below the recommended calorie levels mine is set at 1200 and more when I excercise. You have to keep up your fuel levels or your body will refuse to work for you and your weight will not alter. Its really weird but all the advice the others are giving you is sound please do listen and good luck on your journey.0

Thanks for the encouragement. I know it is just a matter on consistency and persistence. I will just have to continue and stay patient and have faith that it WILL WORK. I did switch my work out from insanity dvd's to running. I am now adding weights 2x a week. It was never this hard until i turned 30 GRRRR0
