Hi,
I am a 61 female, 5'6 1/2" 148, lbs (mostly in the waist); wanting to get to 132-135 so I can fit into clothes better, and be healthy. I'm pretty fit; long distance cyclist, love walking. The weight gain has come from stress eating sweets like ice cream and generally overeating. I've never successfully lost weight; have been thinking about it for a couple of years now. I think I'm pretty informed on diet and nutrition. Your suggestions and support are welcome.

Actually...I qualify the above: I believe my weight has dropped a few pounds from my heaviest (152) because I've been cycling quite a bit.1

I'm especially interested in suggestions for weight loss when you have less than 20 lbs to loose. I've set my goal to .5 pounds a week and told MFP I'm moderately active, which gives me total daily calories of like 1750, without entering exercise.1
