Does tossing & turning burn calories?

Last night, I could not sleep. So, I pretty much tossed and turned all night. It was exhausting! I finally fell asleep and slept the entire morning away. I know the main cause is that I waited until the last minute to do 30-Day Shred, so I won't do that again tonight. But, I am starving today, even after I've eaten my calorie fill. Is it possible that I have a greater calorie deficit today because of my poor sleep last night?

  • That is probably part of it because every time your body moves it exerts energy. Just be aware that lack of sleep also leads to increased hunger hormones.
  • Unless you were turning every other second all night it would be bugger all. You feel hungry due to lack of sleep.
