Heya,

I was just looking to see if there were any others who are doing motivation clinic, or have done it in the past. I have started it (and am on the nutritional plan). So far I'm loving it! It would be great to have some friends on here who are also doing the motivational clinic.

It's basically a clinic I go to once a week that goes over my food and exercise diary. They have different plans depending on the amount of weight you want to lose or how quickly you want to lose it. They basically have a guideline of what portions of food you should eat. Like for me I have 1oz of protein for bfast 1 for lunch and 2 for dinner. I get 3 servings of fruit a day, 2 servings of carbs (which depending on the carb depends on serving size. Same as fruit depending on the fruit depends on my serving size. I get 2 protein supplements a day this week I took soy bites as they are savoury, and I took a protein nutty caramel bar for my evening time one as that is when I crave chocolate. You are also given a list of restricted vegetables that I get a half cup a day of then "free" veg which is used to bulk the meal up as they are the low calories veggies.

It's really good it's one on one meetings, I go every week they do a weigh in and they take measurements as well. They offer loads of support and help keep you motivated. You get books, cd's, and weekly hand outs to fill out. They also do a mental weight test where you answer questions and it gives a print out of what your mental weight would be, and you do that once a month to see how your attitude and thinking has changed. I'm not the best at explaining things, but it's a fantastic program.

Ayirela, do what works for you, and I hope this Motivation Clinic plan does just that. But looking at your diary, I can't help but wonder if you have to supplement your protein with Motivation Clinic brand supplementation products is because their plan only allows you "1oz of protein for bfast 1 for lunch and 2 for dinner."

Here is some great info regarding successful weight loss. Take some time to give it a read.

    Hi Calliope,

I will definitely have a look at all the links you posted and give them a read. The motivation clinic doesn't make you buy their products, there are people who use other protein supplements from different vendors as well. They're main goal is that you get some protein every 3 to 4 hours during the day. So far it's working very well for me. I've lost 8 pounds and I'm never hungry. The ounces I thought were going to be small but it's actually been enough like 1 egg is plenty for breakfast same as having 3 rashers. Last night for dinner I had 2 oz of steak which was more than enough with asparagus and boiled new potato and I was quite full. I think personally for me this program is brilliant because once a week I'll be meeting face to face with someone and they work on more than just food. They help reprogram your thought process, and they understand people are human. They know you'll make a slip up and have something, but rather than badger you about it they just want you to pick up from that slip and continue. Granted the program might not be suitable for all people, but so far for me it's been a blessing. I still have 162 pounds to lose which is a lot.

I really enjoyed the article on Staci! The nerdfitness looks like a lot of fun! Do you go there during September for the camp?

Hi Ayirela! I hope I am not bothering you here but I am in the clinic and would love to hear how you got on? How sustainable it was for you and any help you can give a newbie!
    Thanks

Actually--and this is unusual, the OP last posted a month ago. There's hope.

And after all this time, a chance to find out what happened.
