Ok, so I started out with 30 Day Shred and loved it, got really great results right off the bat! Then I sprained my knee, can't do it and fell off the wagon for a week. Now I'm back on my eating plan but I don't know how to workout without the use of one of my legs, any ideas? I'm out for about two more weeks before I can get back to my regular routene, and don't have access to a pool

Is the knee so bad you can't ride a bike? I googled upper body workout and there is a TON of ideas online! Good luck!

Have you checked out pilates? That might be a good form of exercise to do until you are feeling better. (I love pilates - super relaxing but a great core workout!!)

cycling and swimming are supposed to be great excersise for ppl with knee problems and that are rehabilitating their knee.
  • theres a ton of stuff you can do. if you have access to weights use the dumb bells to work the upper body extra. if not use cans of soup. you can do crunches etc.

good luck with it and may the Lord bless you as you heal.

I agree with upper body. If you set it up as a circuit, you can still get your heart rate up. Do something like shoulder, bicep, tricep. Do one set of each at a weight that you can lift about 12-15 times and start to feel a burn in your muscles. Don't give yourself a break until you've completed all three sets. Take a break and repeat.

My heart rate is usually in the 150s during these kinds of workouts and you can do many of the exercises sitting down.
  • Do you have a Wii? if so. look into RavingRaymond's Rabbid's .>LOL...you can get your heart rate up playing Wii games, Wii sports, Wii boxing, If you don't have a Wii, but have another system, try Michael Jackson's game (can't remember what it is called) but there is a BUNCH of arm/upper body movement.. just sit in a kitchen chair and work that upper body..or if you can stand on your knee, standing burns more calories than sitting, just avoid straining the knee!!
