Can't keep anything down

I have eaten soup and soft gentle stuff all day today to try to find something that will stay in my stomach. Unfortunately within 5 minutes everything is coming back up. I have logged everything...but did I absorb those calories? I have been upset all day that I just didn't have the energy to do any cardio or anything else for that matter! I did get up and put on workout clothes in case I miraculously was cured and could jump on the bike!

I don't want getting sick to stop progress I have made to date!

If you can't keep any food down, I say relax. Don't worry about exercising. When I was younger my mom would make jello on the stove and have me sip it when I was sick. Also try dry toast.

I'm not expert, but I think today would have been a good day to take a break from all this stuff! Even if you did absorb any calories, I'm sure you're nowhere close to your target. Just get better!

Don't stress about it, keep sipping water or anything else that might stay down.
I remember a doctor telling me to try grated apple or plain boiled rice, or I find crackers can work. Try anything that sounds OK to you.
Don't worry about the calories when you are sick, better to concentrate on trying to get something into your stomach then resting to help your body get over whatever bug you have (unless of course you are pregnant )

Anything you kept down for less than 5-10 mins doesn't count. Anything after one hour was fully absorbed.

I say relax for a bit and anything with ginger in it is great for your upset stomach

When we are unwell our bodies are often expending a stack of energy to fight off whatever is makign us ill. The healthiest thing is to try eat whatever you can and if it is only a dry biscuit or piece of toast you will still get better faster.

Hope you feel better soon, don't stress about the calories you are eating, just about what you can keep down :)
