I just renewed my license with my real weight

Gained 0.5 pounds this week, which didn't seem right, so I grabbed the tape measure and measured my waist. Down 0.5 inches! Looks like kayaking and weight lifting added more lean muscle mass than I thought.17

I have a bunch of souvenir t-shirts from trips I took years ago. They were all too small, but I kept them for sentimental value. Yesterday I was able to wear one from St.Thomas that I got when my mom and I went on a cruise. I smiled all day remembering that trip! Little by little I'm reclaiming them all!27

I was in a friend’s wedding this past weekend and looking back at all the pictures I don’t just like how I look - I LOVE IT! For the first time EVER I genuinely felt confident taking any and all pictures and didn’t spend any time picking them apart afterwards.
I’m so close to my final goal and when things got hard I kept thinking about how I wanted to look and feel in that dress. Now when things get hard I’ll remember that weekend and this moment.
Extra bonus: All the extra energy from losing combined with exercising more meant I truly danced all night long without stopping. I wasn’t even sore the next day, and I definitely busted a few moves that should have resulted in that. Cheers for Plyo!!!!37 -
I'm newly returned after getting off track. I had developed a bad self-image. Whenever I thought about myself I would picture someone twice my size. I am obese but not nearly as big as I allowed my thoughts to dwell on. After eating better for only a few days and being a little more active I have noticed I am picturing myself in a more realistic way.25

Shirts that were tight now fit well, shirts that didn't fit are now tight20

MIL came round for dinner during the weekend, and said she really noticed that I lost weight since the latest lockdown...in actual fact, I have hovered around the same 3lb range for the last few months, but I have been exercising regularly, so must have had some recomp going on.23

Splurging just a little bit on new undies, because when you've lost 60 pounds, the old ones don't fit very well anymore!33

My weight is currently up about 3kg, but my belt is still comfortably on the hole I made when I weighed my goal weight.21

I was volunteering at my son's school the other day and one mom said to another "He's been losing weight for a long time but doing it the right way - slow and steady." It was a reminder that everything I am doing is making a difference and others are noticing (even if most don't say anything!)30

I'm experiencing the same thing. My weight is up 5lbs but everything fits. My stomach does seem 'poofier' though. I've started running so I'm just chalking it up to my body adapting. I went and tried on some clothes at a boutique where nothing used to fit and bought way too much . Oddly, I seem smaller around chest and arms than a month ago. Bodies are weird.

I already have a new one! When I originally stopped waiting tables 35 hours a week and started sitting in an office chair for 40, my “weight gain journey” of 9 years began. And sometime shortly after that, my body chemistry changed and my favorite perfume smelled Awful on me! I just found a small bottle of it that I had bought in a hopeful moment about 5 years ago, and put some on, and I smell FABULOUS!!! My best NSV yet!29

I've been away for almost a year and a half now. After loosing 60 lbs by simply eating healthy and exercising I got off track. Thanks to COVID, my gym closing, my Mom passing away and then every excuse in the book I managed to gain back some of that weight. I originally wore a size 2x and got down into size 12! I threw away all of my size 16 and up clothes then vowed to never buy those sizes again. So far I've kept that promise. I recently got back to they gym and feel fantastic. My NSV is that I'm excited to begin again. I've done it before so I know what to do.31

I went to an agility trial today. There were a lot of people I hadn't seen in 6 months and more I hadn't seen in a year.
...People literally did not recognize me. They introduced themselves to me and then startled hard when I laughed at them and they realized who I was. One lady promptly yelled 'THIS IS BECKY' which was kind of... awkward, but.
I look that different, I guess.
Conversely, honestly, I look forward to this being normal for other people, too.33 -
This is a silly one. But I don’t care.
Three or four years ago I spotted a glittery purple unicorn onesie at a Big Store.
The 3X didn’t fit.
I was very sad about it. But went on with my life.
Yesterday. Same store. Same glittery purple unicorn onesie.
It fits, with a LOT of room to spare.
It went in the cart. And I don’t think I ever want to take it off.
It’s completely normal for 60+ year olds to go to the grocery looking like a toddler…. Right?

I buy a onesie in some dumb animal theme every year.
And? I wear them. In public.13 -
Walked the last miler under 15 mins. Told lady I’m picking up the pace and got it done…24 -

I envy you your onesie. I have no idea where to even get one, or I would totally wear one in public All. The. Time.5 -

Wally World. Right about now. They’ll sell out by Halloween. There might be more in November for Christmas presents.
Also Amazon has them.

I think I’m going to have to do some shopping outside of my normal venues….thank you very much for the tip!

I've really been focusing on listening to my body when it comes to food to try and break the binge cycle. Over the past week I've turned down several foods that in the past, I would just eat until they were gone. One of them just didn't smell good, one had a texture I didn't care for and the other two just didn't taste as good as I thought they would so I spit them out!16

My sister and I started hiking in very early July. I had to stop a lot to catch my breath and we averaged a 41.43 minute mile. We did the same route two weeks ago and I didn't have to stop once, other than to let the mountain bikers and trail runners through, and we averaged a 30.28 minute mile. I can't wait to see how quickly we go when I'm another 40-50 pounds down.28

This is a tiny one, but.
Okay I run 3-5-7 K several times a week. I can absolutely jog and I know it and it's fun.
But more and more lately I find myself running just because it's fast and efficient and I'm not so far out from obese that doing that strikes me as a little bit wild. I definitely remember an 'ugh why would I waste that energy, it's hard' and now it's just 'In a hurry by' and SPRINT.20 -
Before I started losing weight I put my favorite denim jacket in the donate bag because I *accepted* the fact that I was never going to be small enough to wear it again. When adding my now too big clothes to the donate bag I found my denim jacket again and saved it from its donation fate. Today I wore the jacket to work and realized it is much too big... back in the donate bag it goes.40

My goal for September was to be able to complete 12 inclined pushups on a surface level at about my mid thigh (roughly a standard desk height). I was able to pump out 11 in a row this morning, then do reps of 4 until I got to 20. I may push myself to see if I can do 15 in a row before the end of the month, since I was so close to 12 today. It felt great!14

I had a major munchie craving yesterday. Went to the store for the regular staples, milk, bread, etc., and then I migrate to the rack that says "Oops, we made too much", which is full of marked down donuts and croissants. I think I drooled a little and then walked past it. Saw a big bucket of cheese balls and thought my husband would like that but I knew it was an excuse to bring it home - so, I walked past it. There is a Burger King right outside where I shop and I wanted a Whopper Jr.... it was close to dinner time, but I drove by. When I got home I had a salmon patty, a small mountain of steamed broccoli with grated parm, and 5 baby potatoes with butter and garlic for 380 cals, which totally filled me up and helped me finish the day with calories to spare.

I took out my fall/winter clothing from storage and had to bag up more than half of them to donate because they were huge on me. I guess my body shape has changed a lot since last year.21

I went out last night wearing a new pair of size six jeans and a medium top. This time last year I was wearing an extra large top with size twelve jeans in these same brands. People have also started noticing my weight loss, probably because I'm finally wearing clothes that fit my smaller body. Feels good to get dressed and like what you see in the mirror!27
-
I am wearing pants that were too small when I bought them, and a very loose tunic top that made me look like a wet rat in a sausage casing this time last year. 🥳

I went to my first Zumba class in 3 months today. I'm in so much pain right now. It's wonderful. That means that it's working. Feels so good to be back on track.27
