Confessions of a Stress Eater...

Hello, I have TRULY been on my weight loss journey since the beginning of August, but I had kind of started it back in May. I have always been a stress eater and I think it stems from the issues I've had with my dad growing up. Since I have put my mind to losing weight the healthy way and not taking the anorexic rout or the diet pill rout, I have lost 17 pounds and I haven't felt the urge to stress eat at all since I've been doing this. I feel like the urge to do that has left me, like a bad habit. I know that a lot of people struggle with stress eating and even though they have just started their journey or are close to the end of it, but there is hope. I honestly can't say what it is or was exactly that took away the stress eating, but I think it might have to do with having more confidence in myself and knowing I can do something I put my mind to even when I never thought I could. I used to tell myself I was not capable of losing weight because of something a Doctor told me. He said my metabolism was so low, that working out how I was, I would be lucky to lose a pound in a year. It was almost non-existent because of how I had treated my body with anorexia and bulimia. But I decided I wanted to get my body healthy again and it took years and I mean years! From 2006 to 2011 it has taken my body to get to a healthy state to where it knows how to lose weight and to where I have the metabolism to do so. I had to learn to eat right and not skip breakfast like so many people want to do. But it truly is the best meal of the day for you because of what it does to your system. It is jump starting it for the day and getting your system working properly. If you don't skip breakfast, you set yourself up for success the rest of the day in regards to your metabolism. If you skip breakfast, you set yourself up for failure because your body didn't get the good start it needed. So, all this to say, I believe I am no longer a stress eater and I am freed from the curse and I know others can be too. Just believe in yourself and have the confidence that you can achieve success

Wow, what great progress you've made. Very inspiring. You should repost with a title like overcoming eating dissorder or something in a few months. I think many on this website would benefit from your story. Keep up the great work.0
