My rides are kinda pricey, especially the black round things that go on them and are a frequent wear item....so there's LOTS and LOTS of work that goes on my list to help pay for said rides.

I probably suck at snow shoeing, but I love it and it is my highest calorie burning exercise. Too bad I only can do it a few times per year.
I also don't care that my $5 yard sale wooden snow shoes probably suck - MOAR CALORIES!2 -
I figure anything sufficiently complex to be fun long term is something I'm going to suck at long term, maybe permanently. If multiple things, of course moreso, longerso.
I'm good with that. 😆
I don't tri; but I row, bike, do about eighty-twelve crafts, a couple pseudo arts, and I started working at bluegrass banjo at age 57 (still suck big at 65, FWIW - s'alright 😉).1 -

Did the Apple Cider Century (only the 50 mi route) in Ann's neck of the world (sort of, it's pretty close to Chicago too) yesterday. Fun, although I was not properly trained and kind of bonked about a mile from the end so had to stop and eat an apple. I'm back into eat sleep ride (plus some other exercise options) at least 'til it snows too much.4

Rode a beautiful bike course in northern georgia yesterday. The IM Chattanooga bike course runs through rolling hills and beautiful farmlands, just starting to show signs of fall.2

Did the Apple Cider Century (only the 50 mi route) in Ann's neck of the world (sort of, it's pretty close to Chicago too) yesterday. Fun, although I was not properly trained and kind of bonked about a mile from the end so had to stop and eat an apple. I'm back into eat sleep ride (plus some other exercise options) at least 'til it snows too much.
Bonking can be awful, I hope you're feeling better now!1
