New here on myfitnesspal...Seems that I am hitting 40 by the end of the year and along with my sister, have decided to get busy changing our lifestyle and loosing that decade of being a mom weight. You know that weight that you put on because you have so much going on that you are up at the crack of dawn and not in bed until 12, only to be chasing kids, working, being a taxi, and a tutor!!! We have started the Y Biggest Loser Contest for the next 8 weeks, need a good jump start and professional direction!! My goal is 40 by 40, losing 40 lbs by year end. That will be the first half of the weight I would like to lose! So tips and strategies, recipes, and any type of advise would be great!

Just follow this website, it is really that easy.
Start working out but if your body isn't use to it then take it real slow. C25K is a great plan for beginner runners, (just google it)
Log everything that you eat and you will make great progress
Use the site to look up stuff you want to cook and you'll figure out what you should and shouldn't eat

Sounds to me like you already have a great plan. Just stay consistent with eating healthy and exercise. You will do it!0

Apart from the plural kids (mine is singular), your post sounds like it could have been written by me!0
