OK here we are again! The Challenge is too MOVE. YOU decide your mode of exercise, choose a goal, come here as often as possible and LOG YOUR PROGRESS so that we may ALL join in your journey and you in ours.... :) Look forward too seeing you here <3

MY PERSONAL GOAL will be 105 miles since I was over 100 last month. :)

    I'll track my steps and walking mileage again in October. I want to end up somewhere about 75% - 80% of my September totals, when I pushed with as much time as I could afford. Time to get as much in while having some time left!

    That's just recorded walking activity miles. I know Garmin estimates my daily mileage from steps, but that's not what I'm tracking. I average around 2k steps/mile generally, so I can get a good estimate from just that, typically.

    Thanks for starting this again, I will try to be more consistent with my logging.

    Goal is 310,000 steps for October, average 10,000 per day

    March 339,018 steps (average 10,936)
    April 310,068 steps (average 10,336)
    May 342,523 steps (average 11,017)
    June= 130.13 miles / 317,267 steps (average 10,576)
    July= 85.94 miles / 259,572 steps (average 8,950) partly hot weather, partly having gkids here
    Aug= 120.02 miles / 284,620 steps (average 9,181) no gkids here, but hot weather
    Sept= 122.45 miles / 298,608 steps (average 9,954) getting better, but not quite there

    10-1= 2.78 miles / 6,784 steps spent the day with friends

    I've already failed my step goal. I might do an average of 10,000 steps per day, instead of actually doing that everyday.

    A streak has to begin somewhere! No rules requiring it be the first of the month, or that it can't have a miss from time to time.

    True…: we ALL have good days & bad days! I do much better when we’re camping because I walk off and on every day. Once I return too real life I can’t do as much! 2 years ago my knee injury kept me from doing much & THAT was FRUSTRATING!!! The goal is too KEEP MOVING & not give up! Much or little….KEEP MOVING!!!!

    I do appreciate all of you doing this with ME! 😍

    Hmm... It's possible my steps and mileage could be lower than estimated. While walking never aggravated the plantar fasciitis I am recovering from (developed while running), two Saturdays in a row with reduced steps/mileage is showing signs of improvement. Now to find what range works best (besides zero, hopefully).

    I'm in for 125,000 steps. I'll see what I can do. Coming back from a bad trip on the sidewalk. Sidewalk was uneven...I knew where it was but I was looking at a beautiful dog and BAM!! Doc said I was okay now. I'll see what I can do this month.

    10/01 - 6,305 steps for 2.89 miles
    10/02 - 16,656 steps for 7.61 miles ... 2,961 total steps...10.50 total miles

    September was amazing—113 miles on the elliptical! I’m setting my October goal for 100 miles. I’ve started overdoing it a bit, and I need to give my body more recovery time. I didn’t make it to the gym Oct 1st or 2nd because of Homecoming at my school (18000 steps logged. On non-gym days I average 3500) and spending the day with my daughter at our towns Main Street Festival. Today I was back at it, though!

    10/3: 4.95

    OCTOBER: 4.95/100

    I'm late posting, but I've still been walking this week. I'm going to shoot for 200 walking miles in October and 500k steps. October is probably the last month that I'll be able to "push" myself for walking and steps. With the colder weather, earlier darkness, and holidays coming, I just won't have the time in my day after this month.

    Oct 1 - 7749 steps and 1 mile walking.
    Oct 2 - 29,407 steps and 10.5 miles walking my #icecreamwalk
    Oct 3 - 13,921 steps and 5.75 miles walking.

    So far after experimenting with reduced distances and frequency, it looks like the key to getting the most relief to this plantar fasciitis is limiting to one walk per day. So I have a good estimate of what I can do during the week. On Sunday I'll try a longer walk to test longer, single distances, at which point I'll be able to develop a solid plan going forward and revise my monthly goal appropriately.
