I'd go with the dress but bring more makeup/accessories because there's no chance I would let myself forget the trauma of something like this possibly happening to me

I don't know the couple personally, or a lot of the people attending. Going as my bf's date, and there will be a lot of his childhood friends there that I haven't met yet + his mom and bro, who I've met once. Maybe I'll get him to do some intel for me haha
