I usually just put the protein into the base recipe and then kick up some of the wet ingredients to get the right consistency (for example my granola bars call for 3 eggs, instead i used 2 whole eggs and 4 egg whites when I added my 16 tablespoons of protein powder).

The carrot cake protein bars made with vanilla whey protein are pretty good. The recipe is by Jamie Eason on the body building website. I'll be trying her pumpkin protein bars and cinnamon swirl bars very soon.

There are a bunch of bar recipes here on MFP but I caution, they aren't the prettiest things, more lumpy than bar form. Don't expect them to look like manufactured ones. I’ve made them once, I don’t plan to again b/c all the benefit of the protein and fat in the powder and peanut butter was outweighed by the carbs of the oats, I don’t want to eat that many carbs daily.

If you have a plain or fruit punch flavour you can add it to sugar free jello!
  • Dude. Just take a recipe, and.... add protein. :flowerforyou:

Seriously, if you're baking, throw in a scoop or two, maybe a little extra wet ingredients. Stir it into your soup. Blend it with your yogurt or cottage cheese. Pulverize it with your homemade fruit-and-nut Larabars. Stir it into your oatmeal, Etc. The world is your oyster! I have two 4-lb canisters sitting downstairs begging to be used! :):drinker:
