I have tried to loose about 5 lbs over the past year, and have actually gained some while trying to loose... weight watchers, slim fast and now calories. I must have the slowest metablism of any 52 year old, being only 5'2" doesn't help either!! I jog about 2-3 times a week, when i am not jogging, i walk. Any words of wisdom out there!????

    Shorties unite!
I am 38 yr old and 4'9" :) Try THAT on for size :) I totally understand and can relate.
It took me 1 year to lose 12lbs. We don't burn as much, so we don't lose as quickly, especially since we really don't have much wiggle room in cutting calories.
    1200 is my norm.

Wisdom? Not sure I have that, but experience......I would just say take it slow and realize that it's not all about the age/metabolism.
We just take a bit longer because we can't cut back as much and we would have to work out fulltime to burn calories at the rate of what I call "full size" or "normal" folks :)

Patience is key. Not easy, but key :)
