Several years ago I was locked in a border skirmish with fat for my waist line. I paid no heed since the fights were so light and non-threatening. I made the mistake of not taking the enemy seriously which led the aggressive fat to spread it's campaign of terrot to my legs, arms, chin, and chest, and before I knew it, war was upon me.

My troops were ill-equiped and even though we won a few major victories, in time the enemy was able to retaliate and take back all the ground we had taken. We were on the brink of defeat about 7 months ago, our health fading and moral being at an all time low.

Then we changed tactics and instead of an all out assault or a battle of attrition, we decided to out think the enemy and hit his supply lines. Armed with better equipment and intel, the troops moral took off and we have been on a steady march to victory for the last 3 and a 1/2 months.

We should be in "manly" movies...that makes it sound like I mean porno...either way, really.

Do we each get our own fluffer?

I never thought to call it anything. I eat less food, I exercise, I get smaller. It's not really all that theme worthy. Battling Cancer, sure, but like, a waffle?

We will always remeber thoses we lost in the Milky way battle:laugh:

I use those words.. battle , fight, war and journey because that is what is has been for me especially the last 3 years..I've tried all the fad diets, the CW of eat high fiber, lots of whole grains , low fat.. and exercise 5 days a week and barely lost anything.. what I got for my effert was sick , tired and frustrated. Little did I know that I have celiac's disease and other autoimmune disorders where you body literally begins to attack itself and you find yourself in the middle of a very personal war. I long for the days that I could just go on a diet, eat right and drop 20 lbs in no time .. not that way for me any longer it is much harder and feels like an up hill climb.. anyway.. that is my 2 cents.

This is such a good analogy it's almost not even funny.

Still funny though. So a war of attrition = losing equal parts fat and muscle? So it's a battle everytime that slice of pizza is in your hand, a route if you get surgery, and guerilla warfare if you use drugs?

Good points. We decided against the surgery plan since the hell it would play on the muscle brigade was extreme, and we had spent a lot of time and money training that brigade.

Instead, HQ was able to find us MFP, which provides outstanding intel on the enemy with its calorie counter and nutritonal food stats. Provided with the intel of how the enemy attacks and reacts, we came up with a plan of 5 small skirmishes at meal time and 1-2 exercise battles, 6 days a week. Eating nearly 2,000 calories daily seems to have sapped the enemies biggest advantages, the ability to trick us into thinking we are in starvation mode and the knack for sending false flag attacks into our nervous sytem which cause us to binge.
