Changing apps - newbie

Hi,
My friend kindly introduced me to this app last night, loving it !
I am trialing the free version for now to see how I go but will pay if I begin to lose
My question is, I am currently a ww member and I don't enjoy it, and the new system isn't great for me.
Please tell me I am doing the right thing by cancelling ww and coming on here full time. I would love to hear from everyone who has had success using this app

I've lost from 204lbs to (currently) 139lbs by using MFP, eating all the foods I like in more appropriate quantities. Life-changing for me. And I just used the free version.
Just look at the success stories section to get an idea.
Try it out and see how you like it. It isn't an irreversible choice, you can always change your mind 😉
PS: I do recommend reading a lot in the forums, calorie counting and using MFP does have a bit of a learning curve.2 -
Try putting weight watchers or ww in the community search. You should find lots of threads or posts of people comparing the two.
Be sure to read and participate on the boards. Ive found the support here to be just as important as the actually logging.
I started at 56, lost well over 90 within a couple of years, and am now in maintenance for a year. I’ll count calories forever. It’s second nature now, and takes very little thought or time. After all, for the most part, we are creatures of habit and eat mostly the same foods.
Just be careful populating your database. All food data entries are crowd sourced, and some are very inaccurate. I’ve seen entries of bags of M&Ms at 10 calories. Not bloody likely. I’d be the first in line.
