Hey all! I'm Jackie. I'm 44 years old and retired active duty AF. I really let things slide after I got out and I gained about 40 pounds. It caused a lot of health problems right away. Things you can't ignore after a certain again I guess lol. I somehow managed to lose 30 pounds last summer. I was thrilled I could still do it, but the place I live has very long and brutally cold winters so fast forward to a year later and I have all but 5 pounds of it back. Even though I was in the service, I don't have that structure now and tend to not have much will power to maintain a program and I don't have a good support network since I moved here during COVID and don't know many people still. I'm trying again because I don't like the tiredness, lack of energy and lack of self confidence that comes with being overweight. I also don't like seeing blood pressure numbers go from perfect to a very dangerous place. I am hoping I can find accountability and support through this program.

Good luck Jackie and thank you so much for your service. You can do this, maybe look for some indoor activities or classes to keep you moving this winter?1
