I am happy that I did not have to follow a calorie restriction diet, but I was able to eat real food and eat every day until I am full. Friend or DM me if you want to see my food diary

I too lost my first 50lbs without tracking my calories and always eating until I was full, but I definitely was restricting my calories because I lost weight.
I just did it by modifying what I was eating and making sure to pack my diet with nutrient dense, low calorie vegetables. It's easy to be full when 70% of your meals are raw veggies.
I personally only track my calories when I change the way I eat, after a few months, once I see that the results are predictable, I stop tracking.
It's great for the people it works for, but others benefit more from ongoing tracking.

Nicely done! I track my calories without even realizing! I started my weightloss 8 weeks ago, I told myself I was going to take it slow and add an extra "challenge" every week, my first week it was not drinking my calories, the second week was a certain amount of steps added to not drinking calories, the 3rd week I decided to replace a lot of high calorie things with low calorie substitutes (home airpopped popcorn instead of chips, low calorie dressings etc etc). Then I started to "experiment with lower calorie making favorite foods (pizza, wraps and so on) and here I am tracking my calories daily because I am every day looking for making low calorie dense foods that are inspired by "all the favorite foods"! This is how I can eat my homemade cheesecakes, icecreams, pizza, burgers and fries. All low in calories! If you guys want some recipes let me know maybe those replacements can help you get out of that rough terrain7
