Hello!
Hi! I do have an office but I am out on the manufacturing floor a lot aswell. Here is what I do.
First If I get a lunch I will walk around the outside of my building as fast as possible for the time I have, Also I had joined a challenge that was on MFP and I kinda stick with it, everytime you go to the restroom do as many jumping jacks as you can I would make my rounds on the floor stop by the restroom complete 50-100 jumping jacks then go back to my office this really helped me boost my metabolism. I went from losing 1lb and under to 2lbs a week.
when you are at your desk sit tall and hold you abs in. There are so many little things that you can do that would help keep you on the right track. Here is a link to 20 different excersises you can perform at your desk.

I hope this helped.

First reality of a fit lifestyle...motivation is not the key - discipline is and the only way to really keep on track with discipline is to form habits. you've probably heard the schpeel about 21 days to make something a habit. But it is really about knowing yourself, knowing what you are willing to do in the short term so that you don't set yourself up for failure. get yourself to do small things regularly - a short walk at lunch, i work in an office and i take one every single day. after a couple of weeks, lunch will feel wrong without a walk, then work on regular gym times, etc. Build your lifestyle changes in small, manageable stages.
As far as the actual office life goes, you may have heard reserach saying no matter how healthy you are if you sit more the 6 hours a day you are putting yourself at risk for early heart attack - make excuses to get up at least once an hour - go to the water cooler, go to the bathroom, go have a short 'clean air' break while the smokers on their smoke break. you may also want to consider getting a desk or desk attachment that can elevate your computer to a comfortable position for you to stand and use it.
get addicted to this site, it is the best way to keep yourself responsible with your choices and encouraged by each step in your success!0 -

Hello fellow office job'er. Though I think the politically correct term now-a-days is "knowledge worker". I sit behind a computer 9hrs a day, I feel your frustration and your lack of motivation. Feel free to send me a friend request. I'm sure we can motivate each other away from the desks.
