    pro's & cons???

Is the money really worth it?

I went with a fitbit over a body bug, it helps me quite a bit, but mostly because it lets me gauge my physical activity from day to day to get a better idea of how many calories I'm actually burning.

I went with the fitbit because its smaller, so you can wear it more easily every day, and the website doesn't require a monthly fee to use it like with the body bug, its also far cheaper. Its not as accurate as the body bug, but in my experience mine has been incredibly close. The fitbit also syncs wirelessly with its base, I think the body bug wireless sync costs more then the base model.

For example using myself, before the fitbit I would have described myself as sedentary, which meant the calories I thought I needed was far lower then what it should be. Using the fitbit I was able to determine that I'm actually Active so my calories are now a lot closer to what my body needs.

Its also a motivator for me, seeing those numbers go up during the day is nice.

awesome answer! just what I was looking for. I have a few friends that have/use the fitbit but none that I know of use the bodybug thing. I think the fitbit is way more "discrete" since you can like clip it to your bra or pants not wear it on your arm.

    THANKS SO MUCH!
