New to site and Need an exercise partner.

Hi everyone!

My name is Karla, I am a busy student working on my masters and don't seem to find myself very motivated to workout. I am not overweight but want to lose weight to feel more comfortable with myself. I originally joined one year ago and stayed with it for a bit and saw great results, however for some reason I stopped :(

So...I have back on for the past week, and have been motivated since! :) I would love to start working out again, I have had a gym membership for a while but haven't been able to make it stick, I really want to get toned, that has always been my issue!

So if anyone is in the Los Angeles county area and would maybe workout together, it would be great! :) I am a member at Bally Total Fitness and 24 Hour fitness (I know..ridiculous), lol but the 24 Hour Fitness one I bought at Costco as they are having that special going on right now.

    hi unfortunately i dont live in la...but i would love to! your so lucky to have 24 hour gyms! i always want to exercise at night or early in morn! best of luck x
  • Friend me if you want, Karla. I'm awful about actually using my gym membership. I have a Bally's membership and am currently in school to finish my RN (Already an LVN). I'm not working at the moment because I messed up my shoulder, but I'm still able to do some cardio, including the elliptical if I make a point of holding onto the center bar instead of the big swinging ones. ;)

    I also live in LA County, but it's a big place. I'm near the border of LA County and San Bernardino County.

    Hi there!

    Sorry to hear you don't have a gym in your area where you can workout at the times you choose to! Keep up the good work and don't loose focus, you will get to where you want sooner than you think! ;)

    Have you considered substituting that time in the morning (where you wish you were at the gym), with a morning walk, jog, or hike? I love doing that as well as it not only gives me the cardio I need, it also helps me to appreciate the nature around me and at the same time I get to release some stress. :)
