I have just joined the forum and I am going to try to use the computer to help me log my progress instead of pen and paper. I have about forty punds to lose and have tried every book and out there, I also tried WW about 6 months ago and found that I only gained weight! So after seeing all the reviews about this sight, I figured I would try it. So I started my day off great with the last piece of my 44th birthday cake at 4:30am. I entered it in and it looks like I will be having eggwhites the rest of the day! So I say "Hello" as I start off on another weight loss journey. This is one trip I would really like to be over with!

  • Hey there!
Welcome, yes you will learn a lot about REAL food!! it's amazing how creative you can be, i have lost 57 pounds in a year and i'm loving life and for the first time in my life - exercise! it's easier now, and by logging it in i feel as though it makes a real difference. i have kept my weight off for a year now because learning about every days food makes it managable. i am very disciplined 6 days and allow myself to have a free night once a week, i find this realistic for me.
all the best and YOU CAN do it!
  • Hi there,

I've tried Weight Watchers too - how on earth did you gain weight on it? I lost a bit up gave up going to the meetings... I'm hoping the accountability here will keep me on track.

Re: cake, what about some exercise? I had a bit of baklava for dessert and have just done a bit on the stationary bike. You could walk, do an exercise dvd, or whatever takes your fancy...
  • Welcome and good luck with your weight loss.
