Just getting to grips with MFP, inputting my food and exercise.

Food I can add no problem.(Just too much of it !)

I have added under exercise, my two weekly aerobic classes and three runs (Just started C25K) with no problem.

My question is do I also include my school run walk which is brisk walking pushing pram with toddler running ahead (15 minutes brisk walk) x 4 times a day, as exercise or not ?

  • It's exercise so go for it :)

    Thanks, I will do.
  • It would depend on your activity setting, if you have "sedentary" as your activity level, I would say yes. Otherwise, I would log maybe half of the minutes. Either way, its good exercise for you and the toddler.

:flowerforyou: Any activity that raises your heart rate or makes it hard to carry on a conversation is "Exercise" in my Book.
    :drinker: Welcome to MFP!!
  • my feeling is that if you were doing it BEFORE MFP, (and you were still overweight) then no. If it is a new exercise, YES

    Thanks for all the replies.

I have my lifestyle down as sedentary and I had only added 4 x 10 minutes walking to my log, I'll reduce it to 4 x 7 mins as suggested.

Does that mean I can't include the twice weekly aerobics classes as exercise either, I have only been doing these classes for the past 5 months and have been fat for years or is that new enough IYSWIM ?
