Pacer Pedometer app question

I tried it out today and the "basal rate" it came up with was too high, so when it added on the steps/activity, the total was waaaay too high. It then synced with MFP and added on all of those extra calories.
I googled and found a couple of things where people mention you can change the basal rate from within the Pacer app, but I can't find the setting anywhere. Is it a premium feature? Am I not looking in the right place? Or can you not actually change the basal calculation?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! So far the only thing I can think of is telling the app I weight 10lbs less and hoping it adjusts its overestimation down to something more realistic for my current weight!

Did you ever find a solution for this issue? I'm all if a sudden having this exact problem after 8 years of using both apps. Contacted support and waiting. I haven't heard back almost 2 days.0
