    Feeling better today. Looking forward to Dr. release tomorrow. Spent the afternoon in ER with daughter today. She fell at school and has a concussion. This is gonna be an expensive month for medical bills.

    Team, I'm beat. I got everything done today and I have to get some things packed now for my drive tomorrow. Plus I'm switching purses and have to take everything out of one and put it all in another. Sigh. The things we females do to be hip and with it. :tongue:

    Today's exercises were done and completed with a MASSIVE SMILE!

    Warm up: 20 push jacks, 15 renegade rows, 3 release push ups (full ones) = 4 rounds
    AMRAP 20 MINS:
    5 shoulder push ups (hips high in the air, hands facing eachother, be like you're upside down)
    10 burpees
    15 release push ups (full)
    20 hip touches (renegade row position but you have to touch your hips)
    Completed 6 rounds plus 10 extra (5 shoulder push ups, 5 burpees)
    FINISHER
    1 min kettle bell swings (16kgs)
    1 min crossfit sit ups
    count total reps 3 rounds each, no stopping in between.
    Completed 104 reps total.
    EXERCISE CHALLENGES: WENT PYGMY TODAY
    2x 21s (8kgs)
    2x 15 swimmers presses (8kgs)
    2x 15 woodchops (5kgs)
    Then went for a 10 mile run and nailed it. Was only supposed to do 7 today but tagged on 3 for the challenge. My legs just wanted to give in on the last mile but I didn't! BRING ON OCTOBER!

    Will complete 100 crunches for the team when I get home tonight!

    Congratulations everyone on sticking in there and rocking the first half of September!
    Today I was well over on my water, under on calories, completed the pygmy challenge and completed 500 crunches this evening for the challenge :drinker: :bigsmile: my abs are burnin' and I never thought I could do that many crunches at one time :smokin:
    I love the Gangsta banner! Very chic :glasses: great motivation to keep us in line too....I don't suppose you're a "made" man JR, if that's the case I sure don't want the mafia knocking down my door so I'll make sure to stay away from the Krispy Kreme's!

    I had a really emotional day yesterday :grumble: But I must say that I'm much better today!!! :bigsmile: However I have a confession to make. . . yesterday I didn't do ANY exercise:sad: I'm so sorry to let the team down. I was really in a bad way and wanted to give up on everything. BUT today was a new day and a new start soooo I made sure I did all my exercises, eat under my cals and drink all my water. I also plan to do 200 crunches before I go to bed to make up for yesterday.

    Its okay to miss a day here and there, just pick yourself back up and keep at it! You are here for the long haul! Lucky enough we don't get defined in our life from one day but over every day that we wake up and live! I'm proud of the progress you have made so far and looking forward to see how much more there is to come!

    Wow! I can so hearing you yelling like a drill Sargent when I read this! I literally just put a strawberry cake in the oven for the boys for a bedtime snack and I was figuring up if I still had calories to eat a piece too...Suddenly I'm having second thoughts...

    It was also my first time ever going over calorie wise and I barely made my water intake.:embarassed:

    Thx JR that was inspirational. Yes I know today was a massive fail for me. I'm too tired after driving all day long to move. I am typing this from bed. That's right. It's only 8:40 and I am already in bed. I will play the theme to Rocky tomorrow and kick my own tail.
  • Hey team!
    First of all I'd like to apologise for today's food choices! I hate using the TOM as an excuse but this week apart from the exercise side of things everything else has just been a rollercoaster. I've really felt for my hubby who I practically told to leave if he wasn't happy! I never know how I'm behaving until I push him so far that he has to leave without saying anything. He's not walking out though he is just removing himself from a possible argument. I always think that I take out my frustrations (if any) when I work out but it seems that just once each month I take it out on my poor husband. Yesterday during my 10 miler I decided I was just going to give in to the cravings whether it's for something sweet (which is a complete first) or a glass of wine. So I've had chocolate the last couple of nights.
    Today started off really well, I managed to run 4 miles at 10min44 per mile which after yesterday's success put me on a high. We then met our Korean gramps today which is ALWAYS a good thing. We burnt a few calories checking out tombstones and a memorial park before settling down to lunch. Then it went downhill after lunch. Something did not agree with me and lunch turned out to be a wasted effort. The trip home took 2 hours longer than it should've thanks to a disagreeable tummy. By the time we got back to our neighbourhood it was time for a rugby game. Despite wanting to join my hubby, flattie and mate on the sojourn to the pub to watch it I decided to stay home. This is because I KNEW if I'd gone to Scrooges, feeling the way I was I would've ordered without even thinking about the consequences, a 4-cheese pizza AND chilli cheese fries! Instead I stayed home and had tuna and an egg white mixed on crackers with cheese and cucumbers. The only thing I really enjoyed were the cucumbers! Then hubby came home and I couldn't stay indoors any longer - so we went for a walk down to the river and back! My bedtime is 9 and it was already after 8. I was obviously restless because I normally would be getting ready for bed instead I convinced my hubby to take a cruise down to the river with me. It's between 45mins to an hour away. It was the best thing because when we got down to the bridge there was a light and water show. There was a breeze and it was like we were on a date.
    Unfortunately, I caved and had what you see now on the evening snacks section! I'm trying not feel bad about it but **** happens, it was my choice to give into the feeling of having to fill the hole that was my tummy! I'm tired and feeling not depressed just flat. And telling myself there are a lot worse people out there than me going through TOM stuff-ups I can't seem to pick myself up. However, the walk did do a WORLD of good and I'm a lot more settled than before. I'm sorry I didn't get today's exercises done but I will be doing them tomorrow. It is normally my rest day but just this once I'll do the challenges tomorrow plus my final 200 crunches owing to the team challenge. I've also just got hold of 30 day shred and will finish off the exercise challenges with that tomorrow.
    So these were today's exercises:
    Prior to today's outdoor sesh I went for a 4 miler and managed to run @ 10min44 pace!
    Then came outdoor bootcamp. I can't remember the warm up but it involved, running 5 times the length of an outdoor badminton court (social), 2x side shuffle, high knees, butt kicks and something else
    WOD: Station 1 - Shuttle runs
    Station 2 - Jump jacks
    Station 3 - Flutter kicks
    Station 4 - Uphill sprint
    Station 5 - Mountain climbers
    Stay on each station for 6 minutes, 1 minute rest in between each sesh.
    Finisher sprint up the hill

    Came home and couldn't physically complete any of challenges exercises. If we hadn't had to mee with our korean gramps then time wouldn't have been an issue but we had to get a wriggle on and my body just wasn't cooperating with me. I thought I'd be able to do it when we got home but again not possible.
    I WILL COMPLETE THE EXERCISE CHALLENGES TOMORROW AND BE A LOT BETTER WITH MY FOOD CHOICES!
    Thank you for reading and I'm sorry to be a DEBBIE DOWNER but it's all cool everyone. I promise to PICK UP MY GAME and contribute to this team!

    So glad you got to go on a "date" with you hubby Anina. Getting out in the fresh air sounds wonderful!
    Lori, I pray you find the solution to these crazy headaches and it's something simple to fix with natural remedies.
    I've been doing well, calories under each day, water over or way over every day, and getting my pygmy exercises in combined with the Tabata workouts. I'm also getting ready to leave for the beach tomorrow morning for an entire week. Yay! My husband and I have been working for 36 days straight and are in desperate need of some R and R. Don't worry though, I will have internet access and I plan on working out daily (including walks/jogs on the beach) as well as checking in daily so hopefully my weight will not go up...
    NSV - I was going through my closet to find some clothes for the next week and to my surprise I found some things I haven't been able to wear in year and I'm also going to have to get rid of a few things that are way too big.

    Finally completed the exercise challenges for week 3. Today was supposed to be my rest day but due to not doing the challenge exercises yesterday I decided that just this once I'll forego my rest day.
    Jumped on the elliptical for 5 mins to warm the muscles up as I was stiff all over.
    PYGMY
    10 Globe Jumps
    10 Burpees
    25 Toe Touches
    25 Squat Kicks
    50 original crunches
    50 bicycle crunches
    60 reverse crunches
    40 original crunches = 200 crunches towards team challenge
    The 2 miles will be done and dusted by the end of today.
    Then as a finisher I thought I'd try out Jillian Michaels 30 day shred workout level one! It kicked my butt however I completed it! AWESOME WORKOUT!

    Anina, we all have "off" days where things just do NOT go right. I had one yesterday so I knew I had to get up today and redeem myself and I did! Don't over do it and be patient with yourself!!!

    Nica has texted me and she has completed all her challenge stuff for the day as well.

    I'm tired and behind on leaving comments on MFP so if you need me just holler!!!!

    Enjoy tomorrow off if it's your rest day. I took mine on Friday so I have to hit hard again!!!

    Friday was my day off - I didn't plan for it to be, but time just escaped me between work and spending time with a friend that just moved to CO from SC. Lame excuse, I know. But it happens.

    I was able to do my 5 miles yesterday. I've been terrible about posting on here, but I have been adding points. I'm still at 145.8. Really need to workout harder next week. I have done all the challenges all week. I took off Monday and Friday but doubled up yesterday and today on challenges to catch up. Hope everyone is having wonderful Sunday. I'll be better about posting here next week.

    OVER on calories....I'm deeply ashamed. I went to a Rockies game today and was able to deny myself the tasty treats that always tempt me there. Then, I made a bad decision later at Smashburger and had their sweet potato fries, which I wasn't aware are 400 calories. I should have known to look it up before I placed my order! Here's hoping that it doesn't affect my weigh-in tomorrow morning.

    NSV - We had to climb a LOT of stairs to get to our seats and I went up and down them 3 times and never had to stop and didn't gasp for air once! My body is appreciating my healthier lifestyle!

    Anina - that's what I would've done, too.

    JP - excellent notes and leadership the other day. I did notice that you haven't entered your info on the spreadsheets in a while though... :)

    Lori - Sorry, I saw that your Chiefs took a beating tonight. My Broncos did okay - but the Rockies were crushed by the Giants this weekend. The game I went to tonight was 12 to 5! It was like watching a Home Run Derby for the Giants. Oh, and Ohio State lost yesterday...

    *peeping in* Well team, sorry I've been away for a couple of days. I'm not going to make any excuses.. I'm just going to apologize and start fresh this week. Last week, I kept up with everything until Saturday. I tried to do 500 sit ups... I got to 375... and my stomach is still aching. I think its because I did them on an exercise ball.. not sure. But, really sorry to let the team down. However, I did stay under cals and over water all week. Sorry again.

    Hope your daughter is feeling better Janet.
