Anybody else do Bikram Yoga? I have been doing it about 5.5 weeks now. I have gone about 3 or 4 times a week. I am seeing improvements in how I can handle the class but not really so much in my body/weight.
What has/have been your experiences with it?
I think maybe it has to do with my eating...So that's part of the reason I am back to tracking. Just looking for others' thoughts.
thanks!!

You either love it, or you hate it.
I love it. But what I'm not crazy about is the "propaganda" that can go with it. Here's one: "You're burning 1500 calories per session." Although the calorie burn is high (my HRM put it at around 500 per session when I first tried it. . .but I haven't smuggled it in since.)
For me, I find the heat very therapuetic, and I appreciate the discipline of the same series every time. I find it very stress reducing.
I have noticed that my body has re-distributed. . .but I haven't experienced any additional weight loss since I added it to my routine. It has lowered all my pain issues to nearly non-existent, which for me is pretty miraculous.:flowerforyou:0 -
Oh, and for the record, I use 400 calories per session in my tracker.0

I've been doing it for a little over a year and i absolutely LOVE it. From what the teachers have told me you burn between 600 and 1200 calories during the 90 minutes depending on how much you put INTO it. I've done so many different workouts over the years and i feel like this is the very best thing i do for myself. I know when i was doing it 4 or 5 times a week i could pretty much eat anything i wanted. I just think its so good for every aspect of health! elli0
