Doing Ripped or 30 DS and not sticking with JMs diet plan

Hi! Im doing Ripped right now, and did 30 DS earlier this year but I never did JMs mealplan, instead I counted my intake on my own, eating every fourth hour trying to avoid carbs.
What I would like to know is if youve done any of the two dvds and not followed JMs directions, how low was your deficit and how much did you loose doing the program? I think Im eating to much and need to adjust my intake.

I did ripped in 30 and didnt follow the plan. I definitley gained muscle definition. I ate about 1330 calories which is my daily goal.0

im only into day 2 level 1 and im not following the eating plan either - just eating at intervals when my body tells me to and trying to add more protein - i dont really worry about the breakdown of carbs/protein/fat yet but i spose i will have to once i lose a bit more weight0

I am on 3 day of Ripped in 30!! I am not following her meal plan per se. I am taking bit and pieces of her meal and substituting my own "stuff". We shall see how it works. By the way I am sore.. Oh well no pain no gain right!!!0
