Need support!

Hi, I am a 74 year old woman and I have been on MFP for years! I am looking for some friends here for moral support while I continue my journey! Any age is okay, but, of course, if you were closer to my age it would be cool! Anyway I still have 90 some pounds to go! Would love to hear from you!

Maybe you might want to check out this thread, as a place to find similar folks:

    https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10718336/60-yrs-and-up#latest

Since you've been here a while, you may know this, but in case not: That's a thread that's been going a long time. If you open it up, you may see really old posts. The new ones are at the end, on the high-numbered pages. It's definitely still active.

I'm 66, been here for years (since 2015), too. I'm now maintaining a healthy weight, after previous literal multiple decades of overweight obesity. A healthy weight is a thing we can achieve in our age range, and it's (IMO) so, so worth it. I wish I'd done it decades earlier, it would've saved a lot of grief.

I have to say, while I accept friend requests, I'm unfortunately a distinctly sub-par MFP friend, pretty flaky there, more active in the Community than on the friend side of things.

I'm cheering you on here, though - wishing you success!

Can someone review the bookmarking process. Thanks! Wishing you success!

To bookmark a thread, look for a little ribbon-looking shape (rectangle with a triangle cut out of the bottom, just an outline) . It should be on the right near the thread title when you're in a thread, or to the right of the thread title when you're in one of the thread lists within a topic area. Click it. It will change to a solid (filled in) ribbon shape. You've bookmarked the thread.

To see the threads you've bookmarked, it's a little different in web MFP vs. phone/tablet MFP. On the web, several community pages will have a "Quick Links" list near the upper right, under the fancy photo banner. (You should see that Quick Links area on the list of topic areas, or the thread list within a topic, or when you're in reading a thread.) Look for "My Bookmarks" in that area, and click on it. That will show your bookmarked threads.

On phone/tablet MFP, when you're in the Community, click on your avatar at the upper right (at least that's where it is for Android users; Apple iOS is usually similar). Click on that. You should get a menu that includes "Bookmarks" as one option. Click on that to show your bookmarked threads.

Hi am 66 years old and have been on SP for years; I lost 80 pounds two years ago. I now have an active two years old great granddaughter I keep most of the time. Well she climb out of her play pen and I stop exercise and gain back twenty pounds. Now I am working on losing them. She is my workout buddy; we would possibly make you laugh. We workout six days a week; I like Walk Away The Pounds and I will increase my workout after her father move out of my house. I am vegan and I like to read my Bible. I enjoy working with kids and I am now teaching that active two years old her alphabets and numbers. I would enjoy being your friend.

I had to lose the weight because I have a colostomy, a low heart rate, a high risk of high blood pressure and high risk of becoming a diabetic. I have a lot of reason to keep going; I pray you do also. If you would like to count me in. Please do so.
