Hello all,
Did an easy 3 miles this morning. This is week 8 for me of an 18 week Hal Higdon Intermediate marathon schedule. I do 35 miles this week, so I get to eat lots of extra calories later in week.

5 miles on the treadmill for me. Signed up for another half marathon on April 11th, and then have the one I have been training for May 2nd. It fits into my schedule perfectly and I am excited about it!
Did 1 mile warm up, then 4 x 800 @ 7:41 pace (2 min recoveries), then 2 x 400 @ 7:30 pace, then cooled down and then swam a quick 400 yds. :bigsmile:0 -
I'm so excited I can post here today! At first I did not want to go to the gym, but I did! 4 miles. I used to be able to do 5 or more, but I got sick and I feel like I'm starting from scratch!
Way to go everyone!0 -
Hi everyone. Hope you all are having a good day.
I ran 6 miles with a friend today. I love having a running buddy on some days. Other days I kind of enjoy the alone time. What about you guys? Do you prefer running with others or solo?

4.5 for me today!
And I have a quote to share that I thought was pretty funny, it is in the April issue of Runner's World...
"You're not a real runner unless you've pooped while out on a run. It's a rite of passage!" Jeff Hall
Now, I haven't yet had the opportunity to poop myself because I do most of my running on the mill but I have heard stories and it makes me a little scared to go outside because I know there have been some close calls indoors!
Hope everyone got a little laugh, have a great day! :drinker:0 -

For the most part I preferr running with others unless the others are cranky or in a bad mood. Then I want to leave them behind. I have run a few times by myself and I was glad I had my ipod with me.
No running for me today. Did spinning instead. My butt hurts from the seat and I am sure it will be worse tomorrow.0 -
I have been running on my treadmill since September. I am going crazy-would love to run with my running partner right now!!!!!0

I think hubby and I are getting ready to purchase our first treadmill for the winter months. However, I HATE running on a treadmill. Hate it. There's nothing like running outside. I run on the road by my house and it's pretty hilly, so I always feel like I'm doing extra.
Hessied, I like both. Sometimes I really do just like to go for a run alone. I need to start writing down all the things I think about while running, talk about a stream of consciousness!
Nichole, that quote is hilarious!! I can't even imagine. I have a hard enough time using a public bathroom. hahaha0 -
Hi everyone! I did 6.25 miles this morning with a strength routine. It was awesome! As for running with someone... I've only had one running buddy in my life. She was a captain in the Marines, about 5 foot nothing and zero body fat. It made me a WAY better runner. Since then (about 4 years ago) I haven't really done it. So I guess I prefer my i-pod and my alone time.0

I prefer running with my buddies, but with the nasty weather this winter I've gotten a lot more running done on the treadmill. I really hate running over 5 miles on the TM, then I'd much rather be with my buddies. I have 3 buddies that have become very close friends from running together, we can talk about whatever and what is talked about on the road... stays on the road!
Nich0le ~ Yes, I have BTDT. While marathon training. Thankfully we live around a whole bunch of cornfields. :laugh:0 -
Did 7 on the Treadmill-did some interval work. I can't wait to get outside and run! I have a race April 18th and I don't know how much outside running I will get to do before that!! Freaks me out!!0
