My First Gain :(

Well, after several weeks of losing, I experienced my first gain of 3 lbs. It was a combination of some not wise food choices and not working out. But when I saw those numbers this morning, I immediately popped in my Biggest Loser walking workout and burned a little over 200 calories in 21 minutes!!

That's going to happen, what you do is not weigh yourself the next day when you had a bad night and just figure you went off for a little. I have a thing called fake weight and real weight. My fake weight is when it jumps due to my going overboard or whatever but then in a few days I get back to my real weight and that works for me.

I do the same thing. If I know I did bad, I won't weigh myself that day. I'll get back on track and then when I weigh next I'm back to my normal weight. I never do bad right before my official weigh in day anyway so it doesn't matter!

I had a 3 lb jump too, and I am right there with you. Get back into the swing of things and hope that it tricks your metabolism into fast burn mode. I am an optimist, can you tell? Post in another week and let us all know how encouraged you are that it came back off with perseverance. I hope to be able to report the same.
I have decided not to worry unless I see more than 3 lbs change and it lasts longer than four days without responding to change.

Unfortunately weight gain can happen. But stay positive and get back on track. We all have days where we stray from our diet. Mine was on Sunday but I burned hard yesterday and plan to again today! Keep up the good work. You've got the right mind set and it seems the determination too!

I was away for the weekend and gained almost 5 pounds. I was at a wedding/family reunion and was full of stress. I went back to my old eating patterns and ate my stress like crazy. I totally lost control. I am so sad that I gained 4.5 pounds. I guess it's not the end of the world and I'll get it back off but still :ohwell: . I don't have anymore trips coming up so I will be able to get back in control and stay in control. So... I understand exactly how you feel and I'm sorry if you are sad about it. Together we can get through this. It's a struggle but we can do it. Peace and Love, Suzen
