Intro - F, 50, 50+ to lose

Hello, all. I have been using the app for about 2 weeks now. TBH, I'm already tired of logging everything, but I think that after a well, it will be easier because I'll learn to estimate portions without weighing and measureing everything.

I have been overweight most of my life. I am 50 years old, have type II diabetes, borderline high cholesterol, and would like to lose about 65 pounds. I work at a desk all day, so I am looking for ways to get more movement into my day.

If you are similar, maybe we can be fitness pals.

I don't weigh veggies anymore for the most part, usually just estimate. The difference between a cup of salad and 2 is only 33 calories, but I still weigh everything else. It's too easy to fool myself with protein, cheese, anything calorie dense and get a bigger serving than I intended. I eat the same things a lot of the time, so it's pretty easy to copy meals which cuts down on the logging.

Thanks for the tip, JenKindo! I think the longer I use the app, the easier it will get.

@NedStarksHat - it does get easier. I also find that if I log meals before I eat them, it's easier to hit my calorie goals. If I put something in and it blows my limit, I can decide if it's worth the splurge or not. It's usually not once I see it in black and white!
