You need to burn 3500 calories to lose ONE pound of fat. So burning 500 calories more than you eat every single day, with no exception, will make you lose an average of one pound per week.
It's a long slow process, and even if you do lose fat weight, the number on the scale won't always reflect that in the short term, because your water weight can fluctuate quite a bit.
