what do u do with KB's once you've "outgrown" them? Get rid of them or incorporate them in other ways? Just bought my 1st set and can tell that 5 pounder isn't going to keep me at it for long (got a 5, 7.5, and 10 lb in the set). I have history lifting weights so im not brand new to that although ive never used KBs. A lot of people have said that u should start with 15-20 lb weight as u adjust quickly. I just wanna know if I should take this set back and get heavier ones or an adjustable KB. Please advise
Sorry to basically repost similar ? as earlier but really need to know if i should keep this set!

Can you do a Turkish Get-up with them? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztTOn0rSMis
If not, keep them until you can. There may be other uses I don't know of either.0 -
Jillian Michaels has ONE kettlebell with weights that slide in/out - it goes up to 20 lbs. So yeah if you like KB, I'd say take that set back & get JM and try her Shred it with weights DVD. If that doesn't challenge you, I guess you're not into Kettlebells0

I'm 4 weeks into a kettlebell bootcamp. I started with an 18 pound kb for most things. I would take the set back and go heavier. I use either the 18 or 26 lb for swings. For snatch and cleans I do 18.0

In my opinion this is your best option, http://www.atomicathletic.com/store/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=KBC1.
Basically these are plate loading kettlebells. All you need to do is buy more plates as you progress with your strength gains, which you can get at any sports / fitness stores. That way these are always useful and you don't end-up with tons of kettlebells lying around. If not and you have a little more money to spend just by a pair of adjusting dumbells.0 -
Thanks guys that helps a lot; I'm taking them back and getting some heavier ones.0
