My HMO offered classes and a meeting with a dietician first thing when I was diagnosed. My dietician recommended a book "The Joselin Guide to Diabetes." I think you can find it on Amazon.

Keto is the way before I was on medication I lowered my blood sugar just using Keto. I have only been Type 2 a few weeks. Carbs produce insulin. We are Insulin Resistant. We need to have as less insulin as possible so our bodies become more insulin sensitive. Fasting and low carbs is the way, Doctors are crazy 100+ carbs a day is a joke, that will just keep you on the medicine. There is no money in cures just selling you drugs $$$$.

I found Dr Berg great on you tube plus others too. I give two links one to a youtube beginners videos 10 videos and his webpage with written beginners guide.

Friend of mine and her husband were eating Keto for quite a while. He just spent several weeks in the hospital and lost 25 pounds of muscle because he suffered a massive heart attack. Keto is not a long-term healthy eating solution. High fat also puts you at risk for certain types of cancer (scientifically proven).
