Hello MFPers! Looking for some friends who are into photography. I am learning the Nikon D3100 and would love some friends to share photos with and tips and tricks!

    I love photography but can't afford a good camera, so all my pictures are with a basic point-and-shoot. Thankfully I have a really good eye. Someday hopefully I'll be able to afford a better camera so I can do more!

    I bought a DSLR recently and am trying to teach myself. I like to think I have a good eye so now I'm learning the more technical stuff.

    Mostly, though, I end up taking pics for work which is less creative but still definitely challenging.

    Amatuer here!!! I have a Nikon D60 that i absolutely love and have no idea how to use, lol. I'm looking into classes but they're kinda hard to find down here on the Island :grumble: I have an album on my FB called AmPho (amatuer photography) with my favorite pics.     2 years ago mine was stolen from me :( haven't bought a new one since and i've lost my zest for taking pictures..

    Same here- I would also love to be able to take some classes. I have been self taught to this point. I don't consider myself a photographer or anything. I just love taking pictures. :smile:

    I have my own super small photography business with a website that has not been updated in ages.

    I've done a small bunch of paid jobs in the last 2.5 years, I don't actively look for work as I have a full time job and two kids but every few months something comes up which makes for a nice bit of cash on the side. I have a job this weekend for a family of 5, just portraits and concentrating on their newest edition. I also photograph at gigs in exchange for admission to the shows. I should really update my tumblr/flickr,etcr. Here is my BASIC website (I'm clearer not a web designer) that hasn't been updated since early last year. http://brianwardphotography.com.au/gallery.html

    I use a Canon 40D. I have a Canon 70-200 F/4, Canon 50mm F/1.8 and a Sigma 24-70 F/2.8. Two strobes, a 580 EX II and a 430 EX II.

    I'm by no means an expert but if there are any technical questions I'd love to try and help.

    I like photography and would like to be able to do it "on the side" but I lack the confidence that mine will always turn out good. I do a lot of photography for friends and my students at school. It's good experience and I'm learning.
