New and looking for motivation!

Hi All
I am 27 years old and living in London. Over the past 3 or 4 years my weight has gone up and up, just a little at a time. My dad came over from Northern Ireland recently (that's where I am from originally) to visit me in London. He is over 18 stone and like me was slim until he hit his mid twenties when the weight started to creep on. I spent a few days sightseeing with him, watched him struggle to walk for more than a few minutes and watched him tucking into all sorts of unhealthy food. All of a sudden I saw what was waiting for me if I didn't nip this in the bud now!
I am looking for motivation buddies! Real honest ones who will tell me when I am doing cr*p and point out that I didn't really need that bar of chocolate etc. Losing weight is hard and I know I suffer from "oh one more chocolate wont hurt" syndrome, so I need some honest friends who will tell it how it is!
Any takers?
J

There are lots of people on this site that will definitely be honest with you - but supportive, too! I just recently added a little chocolate back into my diet and, so far, have managed not to eat "all of it" just because it's there!
Good luck! I will be your friend, if you like. But, you might have to translate "stone" to "pound" for me. :-D0
