I am sure I am not hallucinating, but I can see more definition in my arms - can see my tricep muscle now, plus I think I have less of the dreaded "stuff" on the back of my legs. I have definitely improved in fitness and make some strength gains, yet there is ZERO change on scales or measurements.

Not to mention I have heaps more energy and am sleeping better. How is that possible??

I'm sooooooooo with you on this one! Have started to see definition in my arms that I've never had in my life, yet the scales just won't budge! The biggest difference I've noticed though is that I'm standing up tall without trying. It's like now I've shown my body some good healthy activity, it just refuses to slouch! (or it could be all the stomach crunches on the 30 Day Shred pulling my butt and stomach back into proper alignment!)

Oh yes my arm measurement didn't change for AGES but I definitely have way more definition than I used to now. At one point my *kitten* was getting bigger but It looked and felt way firmer.

Don't get too caught up on those scales and the tape measure, I bet you are feeling alot healthier, it is awesome that your fitness has improved, nothing beats doing a workout for the first time and struggling through it, and then a month later your looking for something harder.

You have to remember Muscle weights more then fat so you may not see the numbers go down right off. You are looking better and feeling better which is the real goal. I am sure you will lose lbs and inches as the more muscle you get the more calories you will burn off. Either way you are looking good right :)

    Hi,

It sounds like your burning fat but adding lean muscle, so you will be getting slimmer but toning up and muscle weighs more than fat so your weight will stay the same but your body shape will change.

Your doing a great job, keep up the good work!

    Scott

ps add me if you like.

Brilliant! The two things I fear of losing as I lose weight are my boobs and butt! They are both curvy and love them that way. I'm just making sure I do lots of squats and hiking up big hills to keep that curve in my behind!

    Ok. One more time.

Scales are not your friend, you're not going to see much difference, ideally you want more muscle, so it may even go up. Especially with your realisation you may have been undereating in the past. The tape measure is also not going to change much as you don't have much to lose.

You're getting fitter and more defined, so you're achieving what most people find impossible, so you should be happy.

Yeah you know what, **** the scales! The last set I had ended up becoming roadkill in the driveway.

You've halved your meds, doubled your workout, got more energy, getting stronger, more definition, but heading for a slap if you don't stop this measurement nonsense!

You're slim already, so yeah, I agree with the others. You're much more likely to show the effects of exercise in muscle tone and in appearance than you will in easily measurable things like scale based weight loss, or even standard measurements. I bet you're looking and feeling fantastic.

I think I am quite safe from half a world away! ;-)
