swollen eyelids?

I was just wanting other peoples input or experiences with this. I have been waking up with swollen heavy eyelids for at least a week. They don't hurt but are uncomfortable. They return to normal after a couple hours. I was thinking allergies since mine have been worse lately but my medicine does nothing. I also read about it happening from having too much salt, but if anything iveblowered the amount of salt I eat. I will probably go to the campus doctored this week. I think my actual eyeys are having issues too since when I take out my contacts some days my eyes are.red especially around the iris.

Allergies is a likely suspect--though do see a doctor about this.
I have the same reaction when I eat foods with MSG, autolyzed yeast extract, and soy.
And, occasionally, during high pollen days in spring and summer I'll have similar reactions.
Keeping a food journal (and an eye on airborne pollen listings--which are available on the web) might help you identify a triggering food or pollen.
Good luck!0
