My math sucks!

My daily walk in and out of my job site is 1 km. If i do that in 7 mins, how many mph is that?

    1 km= 0.62 m
    7 min = 0.117 h

    so, .62m/.117h = 5.29 m/h

    You know how in HS Math you had to "show your work"? Here is how I figured this:

    1 km = .62 miles
    You can walk 1 km in 7 minutes
    If you kept the same 7 min/km pace for an entire hour (Which is pretty freaking awesome!)

    Take 60 (min in an hour) and divide by 7 (your time/km) = 8.57

    Then multiply 8.57 x .62 (miles/km) = 5.31 miles per hour

    Sorry to be geeky! I LOVE Math! hehe!
