Who is the most supportive person that is helping you on your weight loss journey?
**Me- One of my best friends Nikki has been a HUGE inspiration and is probably my biggest supportive. She herself has lost about 100 pounds over the past 2 years and she has been on MFP for 265 days!! She is amazing and is sooo determined she is doing her 2nd round of Insanity and 30 Day Shred. she let's me text her all day and just talk about weight, exercise pretty much anything. We have been friends since high school and I am so thankful for her!!!

My bff, Diane! We have been friends for 30+ years now, and she joined MFP with me.0

Unfortunately, I don't have anyone to motivate me. I stopped talking to my two close friends about two months ago because one was sleeping with her married neighbor who had a daughter and another kid on the way with his wife. The other friend supported my friend's choices and neither wanted to hear anything I had to say, even when I told them that she deserved to be with someone better! I wish the very best upon everyone, but communication between friends is important, so I just couldn't continue being friends with people who weren't listening to me. I wish I was a more open person, because then I could say such and such a friend is my motivator. MFP is definitely a great place to be, as I see so many people striving to be their best and so many succeeding. Keep up the great work everyone. xoxo0

MYSELF!
No, really, it's true. I don't really have any friends cheering me on, and my family tends to scoff at my eating habits. However, my family is pretty supportive of my new found passion for running, so they cheer me on in that respect.0 -
My family and friends are all supportive. They never try to tempt me to eat something I shouldn't and if they suggest a restaurant and I say "I really can't eat there...no healthy options on their menu" then they kindly suggest somewhere else. I've made it clear how important changing my lifestyle is and am thankful that they all love me enough not to try to sway me.0

My daughter and my husband are my biggest supporters. My daughter is naturally thin (and a little underweight... the turd!!), but she has seen how much of a struggle this has been for me. She does everything she can to make me feel like I'm doing a good job. My husband keeps telling me how sexy I am... that's motivation to work doubly hard!!!
To Whatareherthings711: you did the right thing!!! In your heart, you know that both your former friends are wrong. You were the bigger person, which unfortunately means losing friends sometimes. Sometimes, we have to get rid of the toxic people in our lives because they do bad things or continuously make choices that hurt others. Overall, you will be a happier and healthier person for standing up for what you know is right!!! That shows me that you have an amazing character and strong sense of self. You rock, girl!!!!0 -
My fiance is supportive in that he tells me how proud he is of me for sticking with this. Not so much with the foods he brings home
But the absolute most supportive person- me
I decided that I want to do this for me & I guess I can be kind of stubborn sometimes so when I absolutely decided it was time-that was it. No one can bring me down enough to push me to "of the wagon." I don't even usually have trouble with cravings because it's not worth it & it will just take me longer to get to my ultimate goal.
That said, there's not anyone *really* standing in my way but they aren't cheering me on either. Sometimes I wonder if it's because they don't think I'll really get there.0 -
I love you & am so thankful for your support & friendship as well
Cant wait till next spring!!!!!!

My husband is so supportive! and he is really enjoying the benefits as well, he has made sure I have the time to workout or tells me I am really looking good, he said my face looked thinner not long ago, He loved me when I was heavier and he loves me just as much now but since Im more confident, I have to say life has been better for both of us!:blushing:
And of course my awesome MFP friends They are my ROCK and keep me coming back to MFP, love you guys, you keep inspiring me to do better!0 -
