I've had one, still recovering mentally... it's a process to get out of it, but it is possible0

I don't have one but I've seen a lot of people on here who have admitted to having so you are definitely not the only one and the fact that you can admit that you have an eating disorder is a huge step in the right direction! Good luck with your healthy weight loss journey it is definitely worth it!0

Peeked at your profile---Value yourself enough to eat a healthy diet and to lose weight FOR YOU if thats what you want. If your fiance is so shallow that he would rather have you sick and thin than healthy and a little heavier, then ditch the dude!!!
Take care of you. Best wishes.0 -
here's a little tough love for you- if you honestly believe in any of that CRAP you put on your profile, then being here is going to be completely pointless.0
-
Yeah based on your profile, I would recommend that perhaps you supplement the support you get on here with professional eating disorder counseling. If that stuff is not meant to be funny and is real, you need it.0
-
I don't think it is completly pointles. You are here for help and you will find enough people to help you .But I think you should do everything you do , for yourself, not for your boyfriend. Ten years from now, if you are not thin anymore , he is not going to love you?
Hang in here , kiddo , you worth it:)0 -
Nah, there's loads of us here, don't worry.0

Yes. Both ones. I would go without eating for 2-3 days then do a major pig-out and.......we all know the end of That story.
I was diagnosed many years ago. Thank God I had a excellent Doctor (family practice) who got me on the road to recovery.
I was always told "It's your fate to be fat", Genetics blow big-time. Yes I am at a healthy weight now. I am in maintenance but will never be "off" the diet. It took a very long time for me to recover. I just have to remember to eat every few hours. I still have issues with eating and purging every once and a blue moon and it's been over 10 years since I stopped doing that part. The not eating does not happen any longer. Was diagnosed hypoglycemic 3 years ago and if I don't eat I tend to pass out because sugar is way to low. Not fun to go though the shakes. I avoid it at all costs.
It will get better. It takes time, a good therapist, loving support from friends and family and a good balanced diet.
Plus, if your man can not love you for you, get rid of him. Love is supposed to be unconditional.0 -
I've been fighting them for years. Feel free to add me.0

I agree with this 100%.0 -

I hope the best for you! I think you really should find someone you can talk to and be honest with. Im sure if your bf dream girl wasn't a porn star she wouldnt be his favorite. .. He would like another one. There is alot of beautiful women in that industry but also alOt of smoke and mirrors, airbrushing and tons of surgeries to look like that..
Sometimes people have celebrity crushes it doesn't mean that it's actually what they want.
Get healthy even if it takes you the rest of your life.
One step forward is better than going backward.
Maybe ditch the bf and find one who likes the *star in you.
Also if his porn watching is too much for you maybe talk to him and let him know it makes you uncomfortable.
Take care kid and work on your life now instead of waiting.
It's a long story but I waited until I was 26 to turn my life around and wish I had done it sooner.....
:)Sorry if this is hard to read I'm on my iPhone lol0 -
I'm currently in remission.0

there are lots of ed kids on here, both recovering and, well, not. try to stay healthy, though. make the right friends and such.0

Yes as you can tell there are lots of us here. I read your profile and am concerned as others seem to be. Even though I might not always meet my exchanges for the day 300 cals is not my goal. Why not trying things in a healthy way. Because as you prob know that once you start eating again it will just come back on and then some. Plus it really messes up with your metabolism. I gueess I cant blame you for wanting to lose weight for another person because the only reason I went into treatment one time was because of my family. They were afraid that I would die so I went in, but because I didnt want it that time..it didnt work. Now I want it and sometimes it still doesnt work. Regaurdless hope maybe you can focus on getting healthy and forgetting about the numbers and looking like some porn star. If he is controlling you like that now..what will marriage be like..I am just saying. If you are looking for healthy support feel free to add me, but I wont encourage that 300 cal a day crap lol0

Do you or have you ever had an ED???? Seems like not, because if you did, you would know it isn't as simple as just deciding to lose weight healthily. You think people with EDs WANT to have it??0 -
thanks so much for everything guys. im relieved im not the only one here. haha. & im hoping to get better only bcuz its hard to get better after some time.i wouldn't be here if i didnt want to over come my ED. & im pretty much doing it for myself [by getting better] and for my fiance.0

You know I think it is great that people can support one another here with regaurds to their ed's. And even people who dont have them and support us. But it just gets me so mad when people try to glorify this disease. I dont have to explain it to any of us here(since we have it or have had it). But when people think it is something to take lightly or even people who still have it and want to lose more because they are jealous of another person not eating for 14 days straight. Are they going to be jealous when that person ends up having a heart attack or something. Sorry for ranting so much but I just dont get it..and I dont think they do either. They might by the time I am done talking but...lol I commend each and everyone of us who is brave enough to take on their ed. Just remember that you are not alone.0

Yes I am diagnosed EDNOS, and am not in recovery at the moment. I think we are friends now anyway, I added you today0

YES. i'm struggling to overcome my problem of binge eating and lose the weight i've gained because of it.
this is only a recent issue though, but it's getting out of control, considering that it's led to a 20 lb gain and is negatively affecting my med school education.
i know i'm a med student and i feel that i'm "not supposed to be" struggling with medical issues like this, but i am...but i AM trying hard to overcome it, but not successfully...0 -

Agreed. If you are here to do this the healthy way, you won't be 120lb in 2 months... that's not healthy!0 -
:flowerforyou: i had a eating disorder when i was 18 i was down to 38kilos,it is a very real thing, and its a gd thing to be healthy and slim then like a rake0
-
I have anorexic tendencies. The only reason I haven't been officially diagnosed is simply because no one knows. I've successfully kept my issues a secret for about 3 years. Feel free to add me, I'd love to support anyone going through something similar. I wish you the best of luck.0

I've been in recovery from anorexia with bulimic tendenceies for almost a year now! It's hard but now I'm on the verge of relapse, so I'm using MFP to make sure I'm not heavily restricting like I was a year ago. You can add me if you want :]0

I have anorexic and bulimic tendencies because of my OCD and anxiety. But I've been to therapy and my boyfriend supports me and helps keep me on track. I looked at your profile and if your boyfriend is pushing you to look like "his favorite porn star" then you need to find a new boyfriend. If he really loves you then he wouldn't push you to change. My boyfriend tells me I'm sexy and makes me feel good about myself everyday. You need someone like that to help you with your problem. Not someone who reenforces your insecurities. Im studying to be a family counselor with a specialty in eating and personality disorders, if you need any help please let me know.

I have been anorexic and bulimic. I have a love/hate relationship with food. I have had this since I was 8 and I will have it for the rest of my life. I think about food way too much. You are definitely not the only one on here. I, like you, am looking to lose my weight the healthy way so I don't hurt my body and organs. Welcome!0

I've got one. Nowhere near recovery.0
