I just want a simple suggestion for a 1200c/day sample food plan that meets the 50% Carb/30%Protein/20%Fat macro. Can this be provided?Simplicity is key for me. I’m feeling overwhelmed

One thing you could consider is this:

    https://www.eatthismuch.com/

The no-sign-in version just lets you pick an eating style, calorie level, and number of meals/snacks, but I believe the version where you create an account will let you tweak the macro levels, too. (I'm not sure whether that's a free or premium feature, though. You can at least test-drive the basic thing without creating an account, see what you think.)

Truth in advertising (or lack thereof): I'm not affiliated with that site in any way. I've played with it a bit, and suggested it to people who are looking for a structured meal plan. It's kind of fun, even has recipes and such, looks pretty reasonable. But I'd never use it. That level of planning and structure is totally foreign to my nature, as a hedonist aging hippie type li'l ol' lady! 😆

What I did was start logging what I was eating (without making any big changes), then reviewed my diary often, looked for things that "cost" more calories than they were worth (for nutrition, satiation, tastiness, etc.), gradually reduced or eliminated those, and replaced them with foods I enjoy eating and find tasty/practical that better met my calorie, nutrition, and other goals. Over time, that got me to an eating pattern that's let me not only lose from class 1 obese to a healthy weight, but stay there for 6+ years since.

Just as contrast to the very structured eating plan approach, I'll link a more detailed description of that approach here:

    http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10636388/free-customized-personal-weight-loss-eating-plan-not-spam-or-mlm/p1

No one approach IMO is going to work for everyone, including that one. I think the magic is in finding an approach that is tailored to our own preferences, strengths, and limitations. That one just happens to be what worked well for me.

Best wishes for finding your own best path!

    I like this site too:

    https://www.eatingwell.com/category/4286/meal-plans/

There are meal plans for 1200, 1500, and 2000 calories and a variety of eating styles. It's a lot of information, but you might find something that resonates with you. Hope it helps! :)
