Too much water - Dr orders

Hi, I have just been in hospital due to my sodium levels being low. Doctor has said to limit my water intake, but I am wanting to lose weight. What can I have in replacement, or what extra foods should I eat to get my sodium up?

I'd say consult your doctor for the best possible advice on this but maybe in the meantime look for ways to add electrolytes to your water to balance out your sodium levels. I get great hydration packets from costco - they're 20 calories but mostly electrolytes and they taste good.0

Drinking V8 Vegetable juice would be good way to get sodium. Eating canned beans is also another way to get sodium. Canned soup is also an option.0

If you've been in hospital for an imbalance condition, ask your doctor this question. Don't get advice from random people on the internet! If your doctor isn't helpful, ask for a referral to a registered dietitian for help in handling this health problem/risk.3
